Pygmy Goat

The Pygmy Goat is a breed of miniature domestic goat and tend to be kept as pets. Although they also work well as milk producers and working animals. The Pygmy Goat is a hardy goat, adaptable to virtually all climates and an asset in a wide variety of settings.

Did you know?
The breed was developed from the West African Dwarf Goat, commonly found in the Cameroon Valley, which is why Pygmy Goats sometimes get called the African Pygmy. They were taken to Europe by the British during the colonial era and later imported to the United States from European Zoos in the 1950s.
