Appearance

As spiderlings, they are dark bluish-black but as they get older they are more colourful, consisting of a green carapace with a red abdomen. Their legs are black with red, purple and brown hairs and their toes are pink in colour

Lifespan

Females up to 12 years and males between 2 -3 years

This species of tarantula uses their silk to construct hammock-like structures where they are able to rest during the day. They also retreat here when they feel threatened.
